We are looking for a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist to strengthen our Corporate Services Team in our Long Beach office! Are you ready to make your mark in an industry leading As-Built company?

About You

You are an Accounting Nerd!  You may have 2 or more years of professional experience and/or a degree in the accounting industry, are fascinated with accounting concepts, have the curiosity to explore discrepancies, love to collect and process payments, and are able to research information in our CRM and provide timely and accurate information to clients.

You’re a great communicator. You can clearly and concisely articulate your thoughts through email, and you don’t hesitate to make a phone call when you think a real conversation will yield a better result.

You have a strong work ethic and an optimistic attitude. Getting the job done right, on-time, and being proud of your work is your motivation! You expect to work hard, learn fast, and enjoy the ride.

You maintain composure while embracing change. You understand that some things don’t always go as planned and you’re able to maintain composure – remaining patient, courteous and professional – even with a high-volume workload  as you reset and manage expectations.

You’ve got an eye for detail. You pay attention to the most minor details that most people would never notice.

You are tech-savvy You’re quick and efficient when it comes to data entry, and you are very familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite (as well as other computer software programs).  QUICKBOOKS knowledge is a MUST!

You are a team player. You enjoy working alone and sinking your teeth into a project, but you recognize that you can accomplish greater things when you are surrounded by like-minded people that share your goals.

Things you will do:

This is a full-time hourly (40 hour/week) position, with overtime opportunities. Your typical week will include, but not be limited, to the following:

  • Maintain and develop processes for all accounts receivable systems including the tracking of outstanding customer invoices and perform follow-up collection procedures for overdue invoices.
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately to clients’ accounting inquiries and concerns by providing administrative and bookkeeping support utilizing PPM’s customer service platforms.
  • Ensure timely completion, accuracy and delivery of all project invoices to clients using QuickBooks and Infusionsoft.
  • Process incoming client payments ( check, credit card, wire and ACH format) in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
